Winter Essentials: Clothing & Accessories

Where I’m from, you can definitely feel the weather change and the lower temperatures. Staying warm is important, but looking fab while doing so is a bonus. Here are my winter accessory essentials that can easily add to an outfit and clothing essentials that simply provide comfort and protection from the currently cold, chilly nights.

Leg Warmers: A pair of these can definitely keep you warm and are easy to layer on top of a pair of leggings or tights.

Scarves: My favourite are circle/tube scarves! They are quick to put on and the chunky ones are the best. You want to protect your neck and depending on the colour/pattern of your scarf, it can pull your look together by peeking out from a winter coat.

Tuques/Beanies: I personally enjoy wearing beanies as I like how they look/rest on the head. Sheltering your head from the cold AND looking cute while doing so? Perfect. They can also cover up a bad hair day!

Boots: A comfy pair of boots are essential for this season. I recently purchased a below-the-knee tan coloured pair from a Nine West Outlet store and am absolutely in love with them. You can also wear a pair of leg warmers and reveal just the top over the boots to add a bit of fun to your look.

Sweaters: Sweaters are a must! You can never have too many sweaters. I am currently fond of the oversized ones for the comfort that they provide. I’d pair them with leggings/jeans and you’re good to go.

Tights: If you’re heading out and wearing a dress, add a chic pair of tights. TIP: Look for tights that have a fleece lining; they don’t feel any bulkier and they definitely help keep you warm.
