My Favourite Christmas Movies

What better way is there to spend the holidays than watching Christmas movies? Here are a few of my favourites. They may not be the “best” ones out there, but they are ones that I enjoy.

Elf (2003) Comedy, Rated PG
Will Ferrell stars as Buddy, a human raised as a sugar-loving elf in the North Pole. He realizes that he’s different and travels to New York to find his birth father.
My Favorite Christmas movie. I watch it every year! Also love Zooey Deschanel in it.

Home Alone (1990) Comedy, Rated PG
Macaulay Caulkin stars as Kevin McCallister, a boy who is left behind to watch the house while his family travels to France for Christmas.
This movie is a classic. I’m sure almost everyone has seen this movie; Watch it if you haven’t already!

How The Grinch Stole Christmas (1966, 2000) Family, Rated G, PG
A Dr. Seuss tale of a grumpy Grinch who hates Christmas, but eventually learns the true meaning of the holiday.
Everyone has to have seen the classic cartoon short version! The one with Jim Carrey (2000) is also enjoyable.

Love Actually (2003) Romantic Comedy, Rated R
The journey of different couples dealing with their love lives and how they are all linked in some way.
I’m a sucker for chick flicks & movies like these where there are different storylines all intertwined.

The Santa Clause (1994) Comedy, Rated PG
Tim Allen stars as Scott Calvin who is an ad executive and is required to fill the shoes of Santa when he falls off Scott’s roof on Christmas Eve.
A great movie that everyone will enjoy.

So, what are your favourite Christmas movies to watch?
